Mitch Orgeron is the current Parish President of Lafourche Parish and a proud native who started his career in the oilfield as a roustabout and worked his way up to leadership roles in safety and human resources. Along the way, he earned multiple degrees from Nicholls State University, including an MBA with honors, proving his belief in hard work, education, and accountability.
Mitch has played a key role in helping Lafourche recover after Hurricane Ida, leading efforts to restore medical facilities, rebuild recreation, and strengthen our Head Start early childhood education system. Those efforts show what focused leadership can achieve, but Mitch knows there is still more to be done.
